Italian style basa fillet with lemon and olives

basa fillet

Today’s recipe is an Italian style basa fillet with lemon and olives: an incredibly quick recipe that will satisfy your tastebuds!

I cooked basa fillets in this videorecipe, but you can really choose any sort of white fish fillets, like cod for example. I used basa because it’s very easy for me to find good quality basa fillets where I live – sometimes you have to be a bit creative with your cooking based on the availability of the best ingredients you can find around where you live.

I flour the basa fillets and then gently fry them, adding some lemon zest, the juice of my lemon and then some Kalamata black olives that give the extra kick! This dish is sooo easy to cook but also VERY VERY TASTY! You’ll love it.

Enjoy your meal!

  1. This recipe sounds delicious, but I can’t believe the calories are really 974 per portion. Is this a typo because that seems widely out for a recipe that consists of a fish fillet, lemon and olives?

    1. Hi, thanks a lot for your comment! Yes, it was a mistake!! Apologies and very well spotted! There was a manual error in entering the number of basa fillets based on which to calculate the nutritional values. I have an API to a professional service that calculates all the information based on the input of the ingredients.
Sorry for the mistake and, again, thanks for highlighting it to me. All fixed now, and glad you enjoy the recipe!
