Hello! I’m Maurizio, the brain and the belly behind Italian Food Boss.
I was born in the South of Italy, right at the bottom of the Puglia region: the heel of the Italian boot, also known as Salento.
I’ve always been a good eater and a great observer: how many secrets I stole from my mamma and my nonnas! They’ll all be revealed to you as I demonstrate all I know about cooking original Italian recipes…
Italian Cooking
In my day job, I do something completely unrelated to cooking and food (well, if you exclude all those long corporate lunches…) and I travel a lot.
I travelled across 5 continents and tasted many meals in many allegedly “Italian” restaurants that, in reality, were fake: if you are a true Italiano like me, you know what I’m talking about.
Ever heard of Alfredo pasta? It doesn’t exist in Italy: it’s an American invention!
Italian Food Boss Promise
Born and raised in Italy, I lived in the UK, the USA, Iceland, the Netherlands, China, Australia, Poland and I’ve gone hungry around the world with my lovely wife and our beautiful daughter: a toddler with a serious appetite!
I do not have any aspirations to become the new Jamie Oliver or the new Gordon Ramsay. Think of me as a global Italian food evangelist: a passionate eater, quite handy in the kitchen.
My promises:

Italian Food Boss is a family of three: follow our adventures as I distill back to you all I know around Italian cuisine.
I cook for myself, my wife and my young child Aurora: she loves spending time with me in the kitchen, she loves watching me creating the meals that shortly after she’ll taste. She loves it so much, that she even appears in some of the videorecipes!
This collection of Italian cuisine secrets is also (and perhaps above all!) for my daughter: a treasure box she will always be able to explore!
I can guarantee you’ll have fun, you’ll probably learn some Italian words here and there and, most importantly, you’ll taste some quite spectacular food along the way! The world needed one: an Italian food cooking show… actually created by a real Italian!
